FAQs

What alcohol do you serve?

We specialize in a diverse selection of premium Japanese sake, including Junmai, Ginjo, Daiginjo, Honjozo, Taru (cedar barrel aged), Namazake (unpasturized), Genshu (undiluted), Awa (sparkling) and Nigori (cloudy) styles. In addition, our bar features Japanese whisky, vodka, gin, shochu, and draft beer as well as a rotating selection of Hitachino Nest craft beers. We also offer canned Chu-Hi and Strong Zero.

Can I buy a bottle and drink it at the bar/table?

You are welcome to buy a bottle of sake at the shop and enjoy it at the bar/table. Please note that once a bottle is opened, it must be finished on the premises; opened bottles are not permitted to be taken off-site.

Do you serve food?

We offer a limited selection of snacks and light bites to accompany your tasting experience (menu changes based on availability). Guests are also welcome to bring in food from local restaurants/stores to enjoy alongside our curated flights.

Can I bring my child and/or pet?

Our bottle shop and tasting bar is an adult environment dedicated to sake education and tasting. We kindly ask that children be left at home so guests can fully enjoy the experience. Pets are not permitted inside the bottle shop or tasting bar, with the exception of certified service animals.

Does my group need a reservation?

Reservations are not required for small groups, but they are recommended for parties of six or more to ensure we can accommodate you comfortably. Please call/text or email us in advance with your name and the number of people in your party. Walk-ins are always welcome when space is available.

Is the staff knowledgeable/helpful?

Everyone on staff is a certified sake advisor and is happy to guide you through the tasting process, answer questions, and make recommendations based on your preferences. We don’t just love sake, we live it!

Do you sell sake sets?

In addition to gift cards, we offer a variety of sake bottles, gift sets, and sake accessories that are ideal for using at home or presenting to friends/family/colleagues on any occasion.

Is your shop related to the Toyo grocery store?

Yes, Toyo Sake Bottle Shop and Tasting Bar is related to Toyo Shokuhin & Gifts, which has proudly served the community for over 35 years and is located just four doors down from our bottle shop in the same shopping plaza. Be sure to check out the store for groceries, snacks, housewares, and gifts!
